Versaport Plus Bladeless Trocars from Covidien provide surgeons with enhanced security and control. For nearly 25 years Laparoscopy has been changing the way surgery is being performed. As the minimally invasive approach continues to be extended to more and more procedures and specialties, hospitals have seen the valuable benefits of improved patient outcomes, shorter recovery times and faster OR turnaround times.
DriPad Super Absorbent Pads enable hospital personnel to easily manage potentially biohazardous fluids and irrigation solutions encountered in the healthcare environment. The special pads soak up and trap many liters of blood and fluids. An EPA-registered and FDA recognized antimicrobial agent controls bacteria and odors from fluids absorbed by the pad.
Colby Surgisafe® Absorbent Floor Mats help to keep the floor clean, dry and slip-fee, even during fluid intense procedures, while also protecting staff from infectious waste. The Surgisafe True Blue Mat provides the highest level of protection. A skid-resistant fluid barrier backing ensures that the floor beneath the mat remains dry and prevents staining.
The Colby WaterBoom® Quiet Floor Suction Strip provides a solution for protecting designated areas from fluid waste in the OR. This 32-inch strip creates a dam to contain fluids on the floor before they spread and quietly suctions an unlimited amount of fluid waste. It is unobtrusive and can be stepped or rolled over without the loss of suction.
PremiCide® solidifies and sanitizes liquid medical waste in a closed delivery system, saving facilities money by converting biohazardous waste into regular waste and eliminating potential exposure to harmful pathogens. This liquid waste solitifier meets most state requirements for converting liquid medical waste into chemically treated solid waste suitable for white-bag disposal, and is available in uni-dose and multi-dose sizes.
The BASS Fluid Control System improves OR safety by keeping the floor dry. The comfortable floor mat is large enough for the surgeon, scrub and ortho tech to stand on at the same time. The BASS collects, contains and eliminates fluid, thus allowing for quicker turn-around time between cases. It also helps prevent staff slips and falls and helps meet OSHA standards for controlling blood borne contaminants.
The Uro Catcher™ System provides fluid containment for hysteroscopy or cysto procedures on any table. A flexible drape support frame provides unobstructed surgeon access during manipulation and springs back to its original state to facilitate optimal fluid drainage. The system mounts easily with integral rail clamps to side rails and maintains its funnel shape.
The In Vivo Optical Spectroscopy (INVOS) System measures regional oxygen saturation (rS02) and provides real-time alerts about oxygen imbalances that help guide care strategies for adults, children and infants in the OR. Up to four sensors can be placed to show changes in blood oxygenation toward or beyond threshold levels, potentially lessening or preventing complications.
CARESCAPE Mobile Viewers offer clinicians remote access to up-to-the-moment waveforms, numerics, visual alarms and trends. Clinicians can closely monitor a patient's condition from almost anywhere within or outside the hospital using a Web-enabled PC, wireless laptop, tablet PC and/or cell phone. Through user authentication and data encryption, Mobile Viewers make patient data available only to authorized clinicians and staff.
ApexPro FH provides a large-capacity wireless patient monitoring system with significant protection from signal interference and dropout. The system uses a bi-directional, frequency-hopping, spread-spectrum infrastructure, allowing it to "hop around" the frequency spectrum to help prevent interference.
The SEDLine™ Brain-Function Monitoring System is an easy-to-use brain-function monitor, or EEG (electroencephalogram), that measures the effects of anesthesia and sedation by analyzing a patient's brain activity during medical procedures. Through Hospira's unique four-channel sensor placed on the patient's forehead and temple area, SEDLine monitors multiple parts of the brain to compute a proprietary measurement called the Patient State Index or PSI.
FlexiPort blood pressure cuffs are designed to work with existing devices in any patient care area. The cuffs connect to virtually any manual or electronic blood pressure device, so patients can be freely moved from room to room, floor to floor and department to department without forcing clinicians to find new cuffs for each different device.
The StatStrip™ Glucose Test Strip for bedside glucose testing incorporates a patented strip technology that uses four measuring wells. Current glucose strips use only a single well. Nova’s Multi-Well™ system measures and corrects hematocrit interference as well as interferences from acetaminophen (Tylenol), uric acid, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), maltose, galactose, xylose and lactose.
The DataTherm II is a compact, dual-scale, continuous temperature monitor that displays a current temperature reading every four seconds. It is designed with adjustable high and low audible and visual temperature alarms to alert the clinicians when the temperature exceeds or falls below the user set temperature range.
Masimo’s noninvasive and continuous total hemoglobin monitoring (SpHb™) may help clinicians quickly detect chronic or acute anemia, identify occult bleeding earlier and more effectively manage blood transfusions. SpHb, along with Masimo SET® SpO2, also allows for noninvasive real-time oxygen content (SpOC™) monitoring, providing a more complete indication of a patient's oxygenation status.
