In finding a method, system or device that focuses on enhancing the life cycle of instrumentation, one needs to consider several issues that allows the hospital or ambulatory surgery center to best care for patients and ensure that their instrument investment is optimized.
During sterilization, instruments must be organized and positioned in a way that allows proper penetration of sterilization agents. Mechanisms and systems that consider this need not only offer better patient care through infection control, but also aid in ease of use during the procedure. Additionally, having an OR tray delivery solution that is general, yet customizable also affords the hospital both standardization and greater flexibility in presenting the instruments in the OR.

This extends the life of each instrument while also minimizing costly repairs.
Thirdly, well-organized delivery solutions, which are complete and ready for immediate setup, help provide fast and accurate instrument counts. If an emergency situation arises, one may respond by retrieving specific instruments quickly and easily, resulting in excellent and timely patient care.
