Titan Medical, Inc. announced today that it has completed its beta console and industrial design prototypes, and commenced an early user study. The initial testing will include a review of ergonomics and console functionality through various methods by key opinion leaders in robotic surgery. The company expects to complete the study by the end of April.

Craig Leon, Chief Executive Officer of Titan, commented, "Completion of our beta console ahead of our original schedule is an important strategic milestone. This brings us one step further in the development process of our Amadeus Robotic Surgical System. We look forward to receiving feedback from the study, which we believe will support our goal of bringing surgery to a completely new level."

The Amadeus Robotic Surgical System is the Company's next generation 4-armed robotic surgical platform. The surgical console is a new design, with force feedback and an enhanced vision system, with the goal of providing easier instrument control and system function. Other elements that make up the system include multi-articulating arms, communications, simulation systems and advanced instrumentation.
