Titan Medical, Inc.has announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 8,224,485 titled Snaking Robotic Arm with Movable Shapers. The patented technology includes the use of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) in flexible snake-like robotic arms that may be utilized in surgical robotic applications.
