Miracle Flights for Kids, the nation's leading charitable medical flight organization, announced that it has entered into a unique marketing agreement with KARL STORZ, a leading provider of integrated operating room technology. Through the agreement, KARL STORZ will make donations to Miracle Flights based on utilization of a feature in their latest operating room workflow solution called Essential NEO OR1.
Leveraging their expertise to develop a new solution to drive OR workflow, efficiency and collaboration, KARL STORZ will introduce the industry's first visual TurnOver Measurement System with its latest Essential NEO OR1 release this summer. Christy Gaudet, director of marketing at KARL STORZ, states; "We each need an alarm clock to help remind us it's time to wake up. Our new TurnOver Measurement System will help remind surgical teams of Turnover Time goals, and drive behavior to help meet those goals." Turnover Time is a key efficiency metric in hospital operating rooms. It is essentially the window of time needed to clean and prepare the OR between surgeries. Lower turnover times result in higher OR utilization and patients receiving needed care in a more timely manner.
For each clinical use of the TurnOver Measurement System, KARL STORZ will donate $1 to Miracle Flights. ORs generally can handle 4-6 procedures per day.
