EDGE (Electronic Data Generation for Evaluation) is the next generation of reality-based laparoscopic simulation. It measures the time, path and force of instruments during surgical tasks, including FLS drills. Individual results are compared to an aggregate database of experts providing users an evaluation and a pathway for improvement. In addition, EDGE is web-enabled, linking its database of laparoscopic learners and experts worldwide.
