Sharps Injury Prevention

In order to help increase staff safety and avoid costly regulatory fines, Sandel Medical Industries has developed an entire line of sharps injury prevention products, including:

• Neutral Zone: A disposable friction drape designed to eliminate the hand-to-hand transfer of sharps instruments. Its bright orange color makes it highly visible in the surgical “sea of blue.”
• Hands-Free Passing Trays: Expandable, disposable trays that facilitate a “hands-free” transfer. Trays accommodate a variety of handles and instrument lengths.
• Change-A-Blade™: A disposable safety handle that allows surgeons to use their preferred choice of blade and technique. It features a fully retractable, lockable safety shield and allows the blade to be changed out multiple times throughout the procedure.
• Safety Scalpels: Weighted and non-weighted safety scalpels reduce sharps injuries while complying with OSHA standards.
