Aesculap, Inc. announces its Caiman 5 sealing and cutting device. Caiman 5 features a proprietary hinged jaw which provides balanced tissue compression proximally and distally. As a result, energy delivered to the tissue’s surface creates a clean, even seal, free of charring, reducing the need to seal tissue twice. The product features Caiman 5 features a 26mm jaw length. The device can be used on vessels up to and including 7mm, and large tissue bundles will fit in the jaws of the instrument.
