The introducer is to be used by surgeons to place a sling around the bladder and/or the urethra to treat stress incontinence and must fit well in the surgeon's hand to provide the proper torque to easily glide the sling into place and secure it.

In addition, a larger diameter side flow tube allows a higher flow rate of fluids.
