2014 ESP Award Submission: WriteSite Skin Marker

Aspen Surgical's WriteSite Plus Surgical Skin Marker has been formulated for use with ChloraPrep® products and designed to be nearly three times darker after prep with ChloraPrep products than markers using standard gentian violet ink. The ink is also formulated to reduce blurring.

XL Prep Resistant Ink

Viscot Medical has introduced the XL™ prep resistant ink marker. The XL ink remains visible up to ten times longer than traditional ink, even after prepping with common alcohol-based antiseptics. This allows clinicians to better see the surgical sit. Mini XL ink markers are available in Proof of Use packaging, allowing clinicians to see if a package had been previously opened potentially eliminating re-use and cross contamination.

Small Preoperative Skin Marker
