Insulscan is a FDA-approved device for testing the insulation on electrosurgical instruments. It takes seconds to test each instrument in the OR prior to and after surgery. The device tests the insulation on 5-mm and 10-mm laparoscopic and endoscopic instruments for pinholes or any leaks in the insulation.
