The fully adjustable Halux® Iris examination light is designed for and used by physicians for safe and efficient illumination of medical examinations and procedures. It utilizes one 12V/50W halogen lamp, which includes an infrared reflective coating to conserve energy and create a more efficient light source. The lamp has a rated life of 4000 hours, and provides 3700 footcandles at 36 inches from the work plane. The Iris head design is self-cooling and allows air to circulate around the semi-facetted reflector, and emits light at a color temperature of 4000K. The Iris can be used effectively in a variety of clinical settings including doctor's offices, acute- and surgi-care centers, and walk-in clinics..
