The Moran Enhancement Spatula is a double ended instrument for LASIK enhancement, and features a modified Paton Spatula on one end and a Fukasaku Spatula on the opposite end. The miniature Paton Spatula has a semi-sharp tip that is used to locate and elevate the edge of the previous flap, while the Fukasaku Spatula is used to undermine, lift and retract the flap. After laser ablation the spatula is used to reposit and smooth the flap.
