Instrument Loss Control System
The MD-2000 Instrument Detection System is designed for the efficient detection and cost-effective retrieval of surgical instruments from waste and soiled linen bags. A proprietary electro-magnetic technology detects instruments by scanning bags that are passed between two parallel detection panels. An audible and visual alarm signals that the targeted instrument has been located and can be retrieved. The MD-2000 has been engineered to minimize false detections by incorporating technology that discriminates against fugitive needles, sharps, and other disposable metallic waste items.
