The Lone Star Retractor System™ makes surgery simpler. The System consists of two parts, Elastic Stays which engage tissue and Retractor Rings to which the Stays are anchored. Used together, the two components provide maximum exposure at the operative site while freeing up OR personnel to perform other valuable tasks.

The variety of Retractor Ring shapes, allow it to be applied in a number of surgical applications, such as Gynecology, Urology, Colon / Rectal, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Podiatry, Hand and Plastic / Reconstructive. The Ring can be easily shaped to fit the surgical site through the use of the adjustable hinges and is simply adjusted intra-operatively without inadvertent stress or tension to the surgical site.

The Elastic Stays allow true customization of the system to meet the surgeon’s specific needs. A spectrum of hooks from small to large, sharp to blunt, and single to multi-finger provide optimum retraction for anatomy ranging from the most delicate tissue to deeper structures.

Excellent visibility is only the beginning of the benefits. The Retractor System provides a means to better map and manage the surgical site; sutures can be organized in the slots of the Ring, and Foley catheters can be moved out of the way in the patented Catheter Clip accessory.

The self-retaining characteristic of the system helps save time and money by liberating OR staff from hand held retractors, leaving them free to carry out other important functions. The simple set up of the Retractor System helps speed OR turnover saving valuable OR time.

The Lone Star Retractor System benefits everyone – effective results for the patient, excellent visibility and organization for the surgeon, ease of use and time savings for the nurses and OR staff, and cost savings for the facility management.
