In addition to the five procedures already available on this advanced surgical trainer (Cricothyroidotomy, Chest Tube Insertion, Pericardiocentesis, Diagnostic Peritoneal Lavage, and IV Cutdown), the TraumaMan System now features two additional procedures: Percutaneous Tracheostomy and Needle Decompression. TraumaMan's neck now includes all the landmarks of the trachea and provides an airway response through the trachea when the procedure is performed. Clavicle and rib landmarks and a pressurized pleural space have also been added to simulate tension pneumothorax for performing Needle Decompression.
