Smith & Nephew's Endoscopy Division introduces the OSTEORAPTOR Anchor for repair in the hip and shoulder. The anchor to uses Polylactic Acid Hydroxyapatite (PLLA-HA) to increase the anchor's strength and promote a strong bond between the anchor and the bone surface. According to the company, additional features of the anchor include:

• Availability in 2.3-mm and 2.9-mm sizes.
• The 2.3-mm Anchor for use in the hip with a small size to give surgeons the ability to place them more precisely within the tight confines of the joint space.
• An implant rib design.
