Megadyne’s Modified Electrodes can be used with new protective nose cones to protect surrounding tissue from thermal damage and electrical burns. Specifically designed for surgical procedures performed in confined spaces such as tonsillectomies or other delicate procedures, the protective nose cone enclosure prevents stray current leakage between the hand piece and blade junction that, when exposed, can allow current to stray to surrounding tissue causing thermal burns to patients. Features include:
- Quick and easy to mount.
- Construction of pliable, non-conductive material.
- Packaging with the company’s disposable modified blades and needles including: - 2.5” modified blade (0012) - 2.75” modified blade (0012AM) - 4” modified blade (0014AM) - 6.5” modified blade (0014M) - 2.75” modified needle (0013M).
- Compatibility with all other vendors’ electrosurgical pencils and handpieces.
