Healthmark has announced that they now offer single-use bulbs and bladders.  These 100% latex free products require no filter and are cost effective compared to the lengthy reprocessing time required for reusables. 

The bulb and bladder from a sigmoidoscope set are extremely difficult to clean.  The bulb is not ported. The bladder is large and irregularly shaped making proper flushing a challenge. The insides of these devices simply can’t be inspected after cleaning, elevating the risk of cross contamination.

The single-use bulb and bladder are available sterile or non-sterile and are assembled in the U.S.A.
