The TRIVEX System for is designed for the minimally invasive removal of varicose veins. This all-in-one system includes a precision-controlled surgical pump that provides consistent delivery of an anesthetic solution and better visualization for accurate targeting and removal of diseased veins.
Smith & Nephew has introduced its TCI (Tumescent Catheter Inversion) System for minimally invasive removal of the greater saphenous vein. Typically, varicose veins can be traced to failure of the valves in the saphenous vein. Conventional “stripping” or removing the saphenous vein can prevent varicose veins from reoccurring, but the TCI System makes this procedure less traumatic for the patient because of the solution used to infiltrate and irrigate the procedure area and flush the vein channel after its removal.
The Closure System consists of a radiofrequency generator and disposable catheter which are used to treat superficial venous reflux, the underlying cause of painful varicose veins and leg fatigue and swelling. This minimally invasive alternative has been shown in multiple randomized trials to offer advantages over traditional vein stripping, and has significant benefits versus other endovenous alternatives to traditional surgery.
