Seprafilm® Adhesion Barrier is a bioresorbable membrane comprised of chemically-modified HA-CMC. It is intended for use following open pelvic or abdominal surgery, serving as a site-specific, temporary adhesion barrier that physically separates tissues and organs during healing. Approximately 24 to 48 hours after placement, the membrane becomes a gel that is slowly resorbed within 7 days, the critical tissue healing period.
