Dr. Dan Beauchamp, Chair of the Section of Surgical Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, describes the differences in surgeries that remove cancerous tumors in the breast. He explains a new, less invasive surgery that reduces the risk of lymphedema, which causes areas of the body to swell, such as an arm or leg.
